From Lulu's lines :

I held on to my music and photos! I have moved, cleaned house and gotten rid of many things in my adult life, but I always keep my music and my photos.

Monday Madness!

1. What is your favorite form of art, and why?
Although it is difficult to truly know what is natural after we have dug into it so much, my favorite form of art is the art of nature. I do appreciate those who at least try to bring nature back to areas.

2. What, in your opinion, is your greatest artistic talent?

Although I haven't been displaying it much lately, I do believe that my greatest artistic talent is conveying my thoughts through writing.

3. If you were given a blank canvas and some oil paints, what would you paint?

I would paint something abstract and colorful; it would be beautiful. It would be so beautiful that every eye would see something different; something each person needed to see in order to feel uplifted afterward.

4. What is your favorite subject to photograph?

My favorite subject to photograph includes the people with whom I am spending time along with the place I am visiting. I try to get something in every shot that helps describe the events of the day.

5. Are you musically inclined? Please elaborate!

I think all my sisters and I have a natural talent for music. I, however, never did play with emotion as well as I would be able to today. Why do I say this? I say this because I know now that I have grown in such a way that I can express emotions and do so freely. I wasn't this way while I was playing music. For this reason, I have often thought about picking up a musical instrument again.

Yesterday was a wonderful day. We definitely got the most out of every minute. The key? Start out the morning by relaxing with a cup of coffee in a pleasant place.

S, Bravo and I started our day with a dog walk of course (Bravo being the dog). After that, we sat on the balcony with our coffee thinking about what we would like to do with the wonderful day. Susan mentioned the zoo or something like that. I put my vote in for Sea World. We were on the road by about 11:30 with no specific plans or time limits ~ just the way it should be in my opinion.

We headed toward Sea World, the zoo ... Balboa park area in general. We decided to stop at the exchange first in order to check on a few things. We shopped! Shortly after blogging about it too. It happened just the way I like it. We quickly looked at some shoes; I found some immediately, so we moved on to clothes. We looked through some shirts very quickly; I tried on about 8 or 10 and ended up buying 6 shirts a pair of shoes and a pair of jeans. It brings back the memory of "school shopping."

By 2pm, we were at Sea World watching the whale show again. We also so a show that (I hate to tell you Otto...but) Otto and A didn't get to see, the otter and Sea lion show. It was good and cute but nothing as exhilarating as the other shows. It was more in the line of the Pet show. We had our photos taken for our season passes, talked with the girl a bit and decided that when we do the interaction thing with the dolphins it will be the "off season."

A great day it was!

Random Questions; Random Days... Thursday, August 21
What kind of shopper are you? Do you look for bargains, or do you just go in and get the job done? Do you like to shop?

I'm a good shopper; for "big" things, I shop around and plan ahead for a few reasons: 1- it gives me time to evaluate the how strong i need or want the item, 2- I find the best price, and 3- It pretty much ensures my happiness with my new item.

I like to shop, but mostly for things not clothes. While shopping for clothes, if I don't find something fast, I usually move on.

Otto has been gone since Tuesday. The visit went very well. The fact that I am new to the area helped make it just as fun for me as for her and Awex. We went to the zoo, Balboa Park, La Jolla Cove and best of all (in my opinion) Sea World.

I never thought Sea World would be so entertaining and uplifting. What an exhilirating experience to see the whales and dolphins jump high in the air. They seem so "human." Sometimes I think animals are more humane than humans which in some twisted way makes me think they are more human than the humans themselves.

We could have touched the dolphins (I heard later.) Someone at work told me we could have paid a couple dollars to feed them and then sometimes you can touch them. that has been my big thing lately --- I want to touch the beautiful animals. Well there's always Bravo ~smile~
