Monday Madness

1. Where you live, what kind of weather (or weather-related tragedy) do you fear the most? I don't really "fear" any type of weather, but lately we have actually had humidity and I'm not overly fond of it. I look forward to rain because we don't really get enough it; that is why when it does rain, there are more accidents than usual. It is not only because people here aren't used to it, it is also because the oil doesn't get a chance to rise and wash away very often. This causes the roads to be more slick.

2. What kind of weather do you MOST enjoy? I most enjoy the weather that is advertised, "74 year round." It is a perfect temp and it is why it is so expensive to live here.

3. What kind of weather do you LEAST like to drive in? SNOW! Even though I first acquired my driver's license at age 18, I didn't really drive much until I bought my first car at age 21. I was in Quantico VA, but I didn't really NEED to drive anywhere; for this reason, I don't have much experience driving in snow. I'm happy to say, it doesn't snow here.

4. What is the scariest weather-related experience you've had in your lifetime? I guess when we were kids and had tornado warnings; Mom or Dad would call and tell us to get in the basement. i don't think I really thought that was scarey though; they were adventures. Now I wonder if that was just Mom and Dad's way of knowing we were staying out of trouble that day. (just kidding Mom)

5. Share a "weather picture" with us! My picture is shared at the top of this post. I realized that I don't take pictures of the weather much, but you can see the sun shining and shadows cast. That pic is in La Jolla; we went and 'hiked' around. Beautiful Day!

My phone rang at about 8:30pm; It was too early to be from the traveler. I answered. It was from phone number 866-909-6116. The caller said, " I'm sorry, my mistake." I thought it was odd and realized it sounded like a recording. Of course, I googled it. Many people have received the same call. Out of all the comments, no one had any ideas of what the motivation would be behind a call like this. Do you have any ideas?

Monday Madness asks....................

Why can't janny create links? probably because she has a mac!

1. How many desktop computers in your home? Zero! ...and I love it that way; makes me ask why did I ever have that thing?

2. How many laptops? There is only one in the house right now - MINE! The other one will be back in February; it went with the 'traveler.'

3. What kind of internet service do you have? (i.e. phone modem, dsl, etc.) It's not the phone kind - I know it's cable - does that mean I have dsl?

4. Do you tend to use more than one email account regularly? No, I would find that too confusing. Matter of fact, I have two others and I'm thinking about changing from hotmail. I'll keep you posted if I do.

5. Do you use email as a main source for communicating to your family and friends? I think so; email along with this blog which is why I push for your attention!

There you have it - Monday Madness!

The traveler called; she is in 'the foreign land,' but not yet to her final destination. I must admit that I was finding it a little difficult to think about anything else all day yesterday. All is well; although she said it is a bit chaotic at the moment. Now, I can move on. Good Vibrations, Peace, Love and Happiness.

Monday Madness would like some 'compound' words

1. Groundhog (day)
2. Firefly (we used to catch 'em when we were kids)
3. Housewife (is offduty for 7 months)
4. Overwrought
5.Sunset (the pic was taken from my third floor balcony)
6. Underwear
7. Outside
8. Someone

Bravo is chewing a bone, I just retrieved my book, I look down the balcony and see a guy with his tiny dog trying to poo. The guy is attempting to pull the dog away and has a pitiful look on his face. "Do you need a bag?" I asked. He smiles pitifully and says yes. It was sweet. It's those simple little crazy things that make my day. Bravo and I had just returned from our walk where I met two more people. The man had a Great Dane/Rotti mix that lived for 16 years!!!!!!!! I find that amazing. I did a little shopping with my unshopping money today. I did a little organizing too, but mostly, I had the day off. I enjoyed it. Love yas!
