She could call any sec, but I just realized that my phone is upstairs. I'm on the first floor patio; this is quite the luxury. I should get my phone; afterall, she is the reason I have such luxuries. Guess what? As I was going up the stairs to get the phone, it started ringing.

Why did those people make them go this weekend?!!!!!!!!! That is not a short drive and driving really isn't on my fun list. It seems she will have some free time which may include most of today. This blog was going to be about my drive back and how it hit me that she's gone, but guess what??// She ain't gone. I have some more driving to do to go get her. Our great mltry does not contain much logic.

I know I can sound ungrateful, but for months we have been getting this and that to make sure she has everything she could possibly need for the next 7 months. I have put off cleaning this and doing that during this time. I sat down to blog about my feelings and revel in my space and time thinkin now................. I can start doing those things that have been adding up. I guess this weekend is dedicated still to the wackiness of deployment. I lve hr!

MONDAY MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week's questions are all about food..................

1. FOOD RULES : I've gotten used to friends sticking their fork in my plate, because we often order with the intent to share, Butttttttttttttt.............. when I have a meal in front of me, I tend to enjoy keeping the balance of each item. I mean.... I have my items "budgeted" so I can have a bite of each throughout my meal. If someone interrupts the balance of this,, it may bother me.

2. When you were growing up, what ONE thing did your parents always remind you of, when it came to meal time (or cooking)? I remember always being told to eat my vegetables; I would sit at the table for what seemed to be an eternity until I had the opportunity to stick the veggies in a napkin and then (most often) my sock.

3. Is there anyone you know whose food you won't eat (for one reason or another)? No, but if I don't know the person, I usually don't eat their food. (cootie factor, you know)

4. Is there anything you "specialize" in cooking, that people actually ask for? I'm just laughing here; maybe someday.

5. When you were growing up, what one meal do you remember as being your favorite? what were those little fishies called? Smelt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. Today, what is your IDEAL meal? Ribs and potatoes!!!!!!!! don't tell the spark people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Make someday today Is the featured article in my email from spark people. I read that article (skimmed quickly) and it is so true. Live each day! today!

Related topic: two days ago, a friend from CP sent me some pics of her baby. This girl has settled down. I guess we all do eventually, but we were both pretty footloose when we knew each other in Ga. This isn't about her though; she told me about another co-worker we had. This guy died just about one year ago at the age of 30. It freaked me out when I read her question in the email. She asked me if I had known. I hadn't - and quickly googled his name. The first thing I found was a nice letter/essay from a coworker of his (at the time.) It seems he was teaching at a high school and was greatly respected and appreciated. This guy was quite intelligent, but just like the rest of us, he wasn't perfect. He had his devious side; he was even on my sht list for awhile and I vaguely remember why. Anyway,,,,,,, I'm just blogging about this to get it off my chest. I sort of obsessed about finding info on him. I guess he had "double lung pneumonia" Why couldn't he pull through this though? Do the docs just really suck in GA? Through reading his blog, it did seem that he was having a hard time with the docs. I also read a bunch of comments from right after he died. Wow! It was like his new life was a lot different from when I knew him, perhaps I really didn't know him. His Aunt left a phone number and email address on one of her comments; I almost emailed. but now it is almost a year and it may strike a nerve; besides what do I say? Do I really have genuine concern or is it just morbid curiosity? I am strangely (sometimes dangerously) honest, aren't I? That's it! Feel free to tell me how normal it is to be curious - or that you know my heart is in the right place. Blah blah, live each day! I don't say live each day as if it were your last; I don't like that ending. I think it is enough to say - LIVE EACH DAY! love yas

Monday Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week's questions are all about laundry; something we all have to do (or have done). Have a great week and thank you so much for playing! =)

1. Do you do your own laundry or do you send it out? I do the laundry in the house; it's a good thing.

2. Do you laundry at your home or a laundromat? I do the laundry in the comfort of my home. we have the full size stackables convenientl placed between the 2nd and 3rd floors.

3. Are there certain articles of clothing that you need to have dry-cleaned on a regular basis? S has certain blouses and uniforms pressed at the dry cleaner. I personally don't often wear clothes that even need ironing.

4. How often do you do laundry? Is there a certain day of the week that you consider "laundry day?" I do it when I have a full load of something or if S just has to have a certain pair of shorts or shirt washed. There is no specific day.

5. Do you iron your clothes as you pull them out of the dryer or do you wait until just before you wear the clothing to iron? Did you say iron? I just don't do that, but I hang all shirts immediately upon coming out of the dryer.

6. Do you hang your clothes outside to dry or do you dry them in a dryer? I dry most in dryer; there are certain items (bras, some shirts) that I hang in the extra bathroom. With no yard, it would be quite tacky to hang them outside.

7. Do you own things that need to be hand-washed or do you try to avoid buying things that you can't wash in the washing machine? Generally, if it can't be washed in the machine, I don't buy it. I do have a few sweaters that need to be hand washed.
