$3.00 made me feel appreciated yesterday.

Although I like the money, it's not the money that made me feel good. It was the gesture.

I decided to sweep up the pine straw that was outside the pine straw trailer at work. I had some customers who bought 35 bails of the stuff, but still had room in their truck. I asked them if they wanted to take some of the loose pinestraw at no extra charge. They gladly accepted and the man proceeded to shovel up most of the stuff himself. Jeana and I continued to have a friendly chat with the couple as they lady gave each of us $3.00.

That was nice.
