Sometimes I think it is easier to express thoughts through the written word rather than the spoken; other times I think the opposite. Why haven't I blogged about Tahiti? I just don't believe that my written word could express what is in my memory. Through speaking, you would hear my voice, intonation, passion and true feelings. With that "said," I will write...

Tahiti is beautiful! The vacation was wonderful! We had a wonderful time. I kayaked, snorkeled and hiked, but most importantly I enjoyed the beauty all around me.

S "won" a two for one drawing at one of the evening gatherings. The vacation planning company has drawings and S joked to the lady about why didn't she call her name on any of the drawings. The next day, she sat next to her at the blackjack table, joked around some more and guess what? The name pulled out of the bag for the Alaska trip (next year) was S! I couldn't believe it. Was it karma? Indeed!

Monday Madness!

1. When you're stressed out, what do you do to relieve your stress? I growl which is better than what I used to do, have a fit. Seriously - hmmm I do mindless reading or playing games on the computer.

2. Are you normally a patient person, or is patience NOT one of your virtues? Patience is something that I have to practice, but it's still a virtue especially when practiced successfully.

3. How many times a week do you blog? I probably blog once a week on average.

4. How many memes a week do you participate in? I only participate in this one, it keeps me blogging; that's a good thing. Oh yeah, Martha starts this Wednesday; will you be watching?

5. Describe the perfect day, weather-wise. Around here the average day is sunny and about 75 degrees, so I like the slightly gloomy ones now which seems more peaceful.

6. Would you rather be too hot, or too cold? Too hot! I don't mind sweating, but I hate the feeling of freezing and shivering.

7. Do you eat out often, and if so, what type of restaurants do you frequent? I eat at restaurants more than I used to that's for sure. I like "Outback" for their rib dinner. I like La Salsa for their tacos and for fast food, it's Taco Bell.

8. If you could run your own business, what type of business would it be? Hmmmmmmmmmmm - Massage!

Live each day with no regrets. Live in each moment.

These statements are two reasons I am able to feel good even though Dad recently died.

My only special bond with him is that I am me, his sixth daughter. Specifically during the past twelve years, I know that when I had conversations with him they were genuine. His talking with me was his way of saying, "I love you." I smile every time I think about the end of our telephone conversations; I say, "I love you Dad" and he would say something like this, ahhh yeah you want to talk with your Mom? I never doubted his love even though I never heard the words. What is more important was that I felt his love. As we often say, "actions speak louder...,blah blah.

Recently, someone told me that she thinks these blogs are BS - happy crappy BS! She was pretty down that day, but I think this is generally how she feels. I don't argue with her, but I must say there is some truth to acting the part to get the part. I say to her now, pretend you are happy and you should become happy. Even though we are not in charge of all happenings, we are in charge of our reactions to them.
