Have you ever thought of how nice it would be to go back to a time of innocense, simplicity and peace? Have you ever thought how nice it would be to find your place in the "woods" and live off the land, growing your own food - your work is (literally) your survival as it used to be long, long ago?

Henry David Thoreau had thoughts like these and found his place at Walden Pond.

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth." Walden

"Most of the luxuries and many of the so-called comforts of life are not only not indispensable, but positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind." Walden

In The Village, M. Night Shyamalan has also found this place. This movie is now on my list of favorites; whether you wait for DVD or desire to go to the cinema, watch this movie. Enjoy!

Smile Big!!!!! That's all I have to do now to get a big laugh. Did I say something mean, stupid or thoughtless? Just smile big and everything changes..... you can't help but laugh.

Just yesterday I had four holes drilled in my mouth for implants. Yes, four! It didn't hurt; I was numbed thoroughly (not put out.) Although it didn't hurt, it was a strange feeling that this guy (the Doc) was litterally drilling in my bone. The best part was when he put the metal pieces in the hole and then screwed a lid on top. Whew! It was over.

When S returned home from a long day at work, I smiled big and have been taking advantage of my special look ever since. I've never gotten away with more - just open wide and she can't help but laugh at this one space that is easily visible.

Without having retrieved the mail yet, I told S that I probably won't feel like going to any family gatherings for a while (the fam is fairly close.) Guess what was in the mail!! of course,,,,, an invitation to a gathering for some guy who turned 50 and the relative who turned 51. The gathering is before my next appointment with the dentist, so I will not have had the opportunity to even talk about putting a temporary there. Hmmmmmmmm what to do. Who knows, S may even have to work that day; I can always hope.

From Monday Madness, I choose to answer some of the questions this week.

3. What one thing would you do differently if given the chance? I would have worked while I was still in high school.

4. What political party, if any, do you belong to? I don't officially claim to belong to a specific party.

5. Do you like icees? I love icees! I like both the good 'ol coke icee from the 7-eleven and Italian icees with the cream which makes it sooooo good yet soooooo bad!

6. East or West? I live in the West.

7. Will we ever "all" be happy with the current political situation???? at the same time? of course not!

9. What fun thing did you do yesterday? I looked at books, wandered aimlessly, looked at boats at the marina, drank tea and took a leisurely drive back home along Pacific Coastal Highway.

10. Why?? Because that's the way it is.
Through my search for the reality show I should go on, I saw that (supposedly) it was recommended by Jeff Probst (survivor host) to read, "The essential John Nash," specifically, the non cooperative game theory.

I am certain that Jeff Probst has not read this himself and he probably hasn't even looked at it. How am I certain of this? you may ask; well I looked at it yesterday while I was in the bookstore. I am not a genius, but I certainly am not an idiot either. I could understand most of the words that were written, but certainly not the mathematical equation.

Remember now, John Nash is a genius! His non-cooperative game theory is for figuring out possible outcomes in economics when binding agreements do not exist. In theory, Jeff had a good idea about referring potential contestants to this reading, but in reality, it was totally foolish.

Next time you are in the library or bookstore, take a gander at the previously mentioned book and tell me what you think.

It's Monday Madness!

1. What's "it" all about, anyway? It's all about living right- live your beliefs don't just talk about them.

2. What radical political ideas do you have, if any? I haven't gained enough knowledge in this area to have radical ideas.

3. Do you believe that you 'fit' the profile of your astrological star sign? I agree with Sharba on this one; they are so vague that anyone can 'fit' if they want to see it that way.

4. Will blogging survive 2005 or is it a fad? Of course it will survive; ever evolving, but always surviving.

5. Do you Ebay? I haven't yet, but I need to so I can get rid of some of Susan's things for her.

6. True or False: When I vote, I am all for one party. False

7. Meat or veggie sauce on your spaghetti? Either veggie or meat will do; I have never craved spaghetti.

8. Would you ever be on a TV Reality Show? Yes, S and I would probably do well on amazing race, but there is no way we'll do it for the next 7 years. I'd be open to the idea of Survivor or Big Brother, but I don't want to leave Bravo for that long.

9. What is one thing that you would like to do that you have not yet done? I haven't lived up to my full potential; it's a life-long process.

10. Do you answer memes honestly? Of course! What would be the point of answering if not honestly?

Some more True or False answers to Monday Madness.......

1. I always exercise my right to vote. False; always and never are two words I seldom use. I will be voting during the upcoming election!

2. I pay little or no attention to the campaign ads aired on television prior to a presidential election. True; I don't even find them entertaining. (I almost said something opinionated here but refrained.... okay, i'll say three words: mute, looks, idiot.)

3. I can see myself running for some type of political office someday. False! What a terrible life that would be.

4. I believe we will see a woman become president in my lifetime. True - I almost said false, but I believe that we can create truths with visions.

5. I try to keep an open mind regarding all political issues. False! I don't try anything when it comes to political issues; It either affects me or it doesn't.

6. I believe the drinking age should be raised. False! I think marijuana smoking and alcohol drinking should have the same legal status whether that be legal or illegal; changing the legal age would accomplish nothing.

7. I think the legal age to vote should be raised. False!

8. I thought these qustions were interesting. True, but not until I started answering them.

9. I will be back to play again! True; I've been here before ~ I'll come again.

10. If I were the moderator of this meme, one question I would ask is........ What is one thing (or place) that you would like to do (or see) that you have not yet done (or seen?)
