I'll blog later about my recent vacations .... one was my trip to Michigan visiting the family, one was a visit from a few close friends and the other I will be taking May 8.

Life is good; for now, I think Monday Madness requests that I describe my blog using the letters: BLOGGER

Beautiful due to the fact that my mom set it up for me and updated pics and things. Also because Otto contributed some of the pics, the blinkies and the calendar.
Literal because I say what I mean; I don't mean what I say.
Open to new ideas, responses and criticisms.
Good way to keep in touch with my family.
Gem
Existential
Reality as I see it.

Love you Otto - fun task - Thanks!

Monday Madness Presents ....

Pick a letter; any letter.........Got one?
.....
.....
Yes, I pick the letter, "R"

Ok, for the following questions, each of your answers must begin with the letter you chose.......Have fun!! =)

1. If you were limited to 3 things to pack for an overnight trip, what would you pack? Reading material, Rrrrrrrrunderwear, and red clothes. Huh? that was difficult and I guess I'm not in a creative mood.

2. What 3 things would you pack in your picnic basket? Red tea, red apples and a Reuben sandwich

3. What are 3 things you'd rather do than go to work? Read, rest, run around.

4. Name 1 song. The "Rose"

5. Name 1 movie. "Rainman"

Yes indeed, we are here ---- soon, we will be leaving. The trip goes so fast. Otto, I wish we had gotten that walk in; we did plenty walking at Dow Gardens. I enjoyed the entire visit and I sure hope there is nobody who feels left out. It is always my goal to get the most out of the visit, but this does not mean that I can actually go to each sisters' house. So, seeesters, just know that I love you all equally - I would do for one just as I would another - we are all different, but not one of us is better or worse than the other.

I love you all - Mom, Dad, Windy, Sharba, Peakayh, Foggy, and Otto!!!!!!

Remember the paper I mentioned a month or so ago? My Shiatsu paper. It's due on April 10, the same day I fly out to Michigan. It's finished!

I am quite proud of myself for not waiting last minute on this one. Once I started doing it, I realized that I was actually learning something in the process; it also prompted me to put a self study guide together on meridians and points.

Imagine that - an assignment that is useful in learning -- good job Byron Barth, instructor of Shiatsu!

He is by far the best instructor I've had at this school.

The assignment was for a 3-5 page paper; when I first saw that, I thought to myself, "5 pages?" in a way that I thought it was unrealistic to reach that point. After I began writing, I thought, "5 pages?" in a way that I thought it was impossible to cut it down to that point. I did cut out a few transition paragraphs that I wrote for good flow of the paper, but I still had to cut more. Aha! I dropped the font down to 11 and the spacing to 1.7; with this, I ended up with 5 1/2 pages.

I'm happy - now I have to work on the project that is due next Monday (I'll finish it on Friday.)
